The ACA program addresses the inner child, which includes the 4 sides of laundry list traits. Those traits were acquired as a result of childhood abuse or neglect. This created a false self that affects the adult in problematic ways.
The Twelve Traditions of ACA meetings are a set of guidelines to help you conduct your meetings and be a self-supporting group. These guidelines are based on the philosophy of recovery and are often a part of the Big Red Book. In addition to providing guidelines for group behavior, they also offer guidelines for individual recovery.
